A catch-all feature that is activated for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to get only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be extremely easy in case you’ve got a Linux hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up listed in alphabetical order and next to each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox receives all the messages for a given domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you like. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will receive a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
